Yvonne Moran’s career in artwear started with a pair of mittens her daughter gave her for Christmas in 2010. This simple act has now turned into a full time business of creating and selling upcycled clothing. She designs and creates upcycled artwear, specializing in wool, though not exclusively. Her previously-experienced garments are laundered, felted, deconstructed, designed, and sewn into pieces for girls and ladies. The fabrics are manipulated with dyes, bleach, and paint.

Yvonne’s artwear is unique and one-of-a-kind. She never gets weary of making it  because she doesn’t make production pieces. She is influenced by the textures and patterns of fabric and creates a flow in the clothing that is appealing to the eye and complimentary to the body form. At times, ideas for new pieces overwhelm her as they come to her quickly. Creating is indeed fulfilling, yet challenging to her.
