The feel and style of Sarah Henry’s art could be placed under the category of “Dark Optimism.” She likes to develop a dual layer of imagery: the feeling of something traditional and bright, with a dark humorous twist. In her Family Portrait series, she painted skulls instead of more traditional portraits of her family members.
