QQ Miao has been designing, creating, and selling jewelry since 2003. What began as a hobby became a full-time vocation in 2007. In 2008, she completed an intensive program at the Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, to become certified in gemology, jewelry design, fabrication, rendering, setting, casting, mold making, and carved bezels. Her work encompasses a variety of style and materials including classic pearls, silver, gemstones, crystals, and more. Among her most popular and unique pieces are those that combine freshwater cultured pearls with silver to create a contemporary style.
Miao’s work is well received. She was honored to received the “First place award” at the 2011 Sterlingfest Art and Music Fair in Sterling Heights, Michigan. In 2016, she exhibited at 26 prestigious shows including the Ann Arbor Art Fair, Art in the Village (Milford), Art in the Park (Plymouth), Art on the Ground (Farmington), and more. She has also participated in shows in Florida.
