Matthew Schellenberg, like many others he knows, sees himself as a sub-creator, one who is submitted to the Great Creator God, enjoying a relationship with Him. That relationship is the foundation for all he does as an artist. When he creates, in a very crude way, he is imitating God’s ridiculous creativity and taking advantage of the fact that God made each one of us with a unique approach and skill set.
