Sewing is a long tradition in Carrie Mickey’s family, passed down from generation to generation. When her mother began sewing, it was out of need to make clothing inexpensively, but today she is able to sew out of sheer joy to create something amazing! Carrie received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Adrian College in Interior Design/Art and says her mother helped her master the skill of sewing silky sheers and knit fabrics. “It is wonderful fun to work with my mother to combine our love of art and sewing to create something that is truly a beautiful piece,” says Carrie.

Together they make boutique quality ladies accessories from mobius wraps to hats. They carefully select materials and combine different prints, colors and textures using a serger. By design, they leave the serged edge exposed for definition between fabrics and added texture. When each piece is complete, it can almost look like stained glass, truly a work of art that can be worn. Carrie and her mother share a passion for fabric and an eye for putting the unexpected together to make each piece one of a kind!
