Hands-on Art Projects
West Maumee has many hands-on kids art projects offered by non-profits. Kids have an unparalleled art experience and all the projects are free.
Louvre Jr. (Led by Adrian Center for the Arts (ACA)
Kids will have a chance to complete 10 art projects on non-profit row. Then they can visit the tent to learn about the Louvre Museum in Paris and choose a piece of handmade art to begin their own collection.
Face painting is being offered during Artalicious weekend for kids.
Flags over West Maumee
Students from several area schools collaborated in making flags that were strung across the youth area on West Maumee Street.
My Adventure Theater
Kids can join this adventurous journey in theater located on West Maumee. It is an interactive, family friendly theater experience for the entire family. Characters are chosen from the audience, costumed on the spot and narrated through action-filled, laugh-packed adventures complete with songs, dancing and barrels-o-fun. Adrian Center for the Arts (ACA) Demos on West Maumee
Visit West Maumee to see artists demonstrations of painting, pastel, metal brazing, printmaking, handbuilding clay, and clay sculpture. This is a unique experience for kids and adults alike to see how these incredible specialties are done.
The Adrian District Library on East Maumee has tents geared towards both kids and adults with a handful of art projects and activities. All the projects are free.
Children’s Activities & Make It/Take It Tent
Youth can visit the Library Tent on E. Maumee to participate in creative projects such as making StickTogether Mosaic Art, Worry Dolls Craft, and join in sensory fun.
