The deadlines for two contests associated with Adrian’s Art-A-Licious festival, which takes place Sept. 16-17, have been extended.
The deadline for the downtown Adrian photo contest, sponsored by the Adrian Downtown Development Authority and the Image Gallery, has been extended to Monday, Sept. 12. Contestants are invited to submit images that tell the unique story of the community and can be used to promote downtown. There are three categories: Downtown Architecture, Downtown Personalities and “We Love Downtown Adrian.” The entry fee is $5, which entitles the contestant to enter two images. Photos can be dropped off at the Image Gallery, 126 S. Main St.
The deadline for the Lenawee Student Film Festival, which will take place during Art-A-Licious at the Croswell Opera House, has been extended to Thursday, Sept. 8. The contest is open to films and videos in all genres by high school and college students. There is no entry fee. Films on DVD can be dropped off at the Adrian Public Library, 143 E. Maumee St.
