Mary Kelly a very tactile and visual person. Wool and silk are soft and easy to manipulate into a desired end product. A self-taught fiber artist, she is continually looking for different techniques and application of fiber arts.
Mary uses a variety of fibers to create unique accessories for women of all ages. The main fibers are wool (spun yarn, loose wool fibers or material) and silk. With those raw materials, she wets felt, needle felt, knit/felt, nuno felt and dye. The finished purse, scarf, pin, or jewelry is often embellished with recycled items, bead work, and/or machine embroidery.
