Mary Gautz is very interested in protecting the environment for future generations to enjoy. She is working on creating a garden for photo shoots and to preserve the land as a natural habitat. Mary is best known for her nature photography, which is taken in Michigan. She especially enjoys going north to the Upper Peninsula for photo shoots; her favorite spot is Crisp Point Lighthouse on Lake Superior.
Mary takes nature photography using a Canon 70D. She prints, mattes and frames her work. Included in her work are note cards and greeting cards using her own photographs. She also has a line of handmade boxes that she put together and
covers with different kinds of paper.
Mary was born in Adrian, MI. She has lived in Adrian all her life and is becoming well known in her community. Mary has several exhibits around Lenawee County, including Pentameter winery in Tecumseh, Croswell with the LCVA (Lenawee Council for the Visual Arts) and Adrian City Library. She is a 2015 graduate of Siena Heights University holding a BA degree with a concentration in Photography.
