Website: Maria’s Sparkles

Maria White began creating jewelry during a particularly difficult time at work when her boss was not open to new, creative ideas for creating inclusion and diversity. She needed a creative outlet, and literally stumbled into a magazine rack at a local craft store with a picture of Swarovski crystal earrings designed by Lillian Chen. She decided to make those earrings and was literally hooked!!

Maria connected with the artist (who is an immigrant like herself) on-line, and Chen invited Maria to attend a Swarovski sponsored cruise to meet her and take a class from her personally. Since Chen lives in California, Maria would likely have never been able to meet her. On the cruise, Maria learned the techniques that she has been using for the past five years to refine her techniques. She started making “Maria’s Sparkles” necklaces and giving them away to friends, family, and even Delta flight attendants! People literally started asking her where they could order them for gifts, thus she started her business!

Maria hand crochets wire with a variety of Swarovski Crystals, pearls, and gemstones to create unique statement necklaces and bracelets that are both beautiful and affordable. These pieces are complimented by other Swarovski jewelry, such as earrings, bracelets, and pendants, as well as made-to-order wire wrapped rings. She has recently added Swarovski crystal Sun Catchers as well as gemstone and leather wrapped bracelets that are trendy and popular!
