Linda Jacobs

Hometown: Adrian, MI

Discipline: Glass

A recently retired art educator, Linda Jacobs has 30 years of experience as a high school art teacher in Jackson, Michigan. She also taught Dual Enrollment classes through Kendall College of Art and Design. “I taught all media and my students earned numerous awards and scholarships,” explains Linda, “It is a thrill to see students do things they had no idea they could accomplish.” Artalicious has been a way for Linda to display her work to the public as well as friends and family in her home town. Since retiring, she has had more time to develop fresh ideas and attend more shows. She continues to donate artwork to benefits at Adrian High School, Jackson High School, and Siena Heights University, which she says are all close to her heart.

This glass artist uses stained glass, mirror, fused and slumped glass, found objects, wood, metal, etc. to create mirrors, jewelry, and framed art. Linda likes to incorporate texture and color in abundance when she creates, and her work shows it!
