Dennis Swartzlander and Alisha Payne each use a white stoneware body in their pottery. The mostly create thrown pieces which may at times be altered. The raw pieces are finally fired using either gas, electric, or wood.

Dennis Swartzlander

Dennis has been involved in ceramics in some way since high school. He currently teaches beginning, intermediate, and advanced wheel throwing at Siena Heights University. He also is an instructor for the Adult Community classes at Siena Heights. He participates in various art fairs and is represented in several galleries in the Midwest.

Alisha Payne

Alisha discovered ceramics while a student at Tecumseh High School. Now a junior at Siena Heights University, she is interested in wheel thrown white stoneware and how glazes work with it in gas, electric, and wood fire applications.
